The comprehensive assessment may seem overwhelming but Spencer was great at prioritizing what needed immediate repairs and what can be addressed later. He worked with me regarding the costs while often offering a compromise in between that I could live with. The quickness of completing diagnostics, the promptness of the work done and Spencer’s professionalism will have made me a permanent customer of Menke.

Great place to get your vehicle taken care of. Do I always talk on the phone? His name is Ryan great guy and he will always help you out.
I was visiting my daughter's family in Newburg, IN when my CHECK ENGINE light came on and the car was actually shaking, it was running so rough. It calmed down, but I needed to check it out before I planned my trip home. One of the spark plugs was not functioning correctly. The people at Menke managed to get me in for service that day. We decided to change all the spark plugs, since the car is 8 years old, with 78,000 miles. The service was completed on time. I now feel confident to drive my car back home. They were pleasant, offered several options and the waiting area was better than I had seen in any auto service shop!
We've used Menkes for years. They've always been great to us. Great communication. Fair evaluations. Good advice about services needed. Make quick appointments. Offer loaner cars. Chris and Spencer have always been so helpful and we appreciate their kindness. They mail out coupons. Military and AAA discounts.
Professional, prompt and personable. Can’t ask for more.
I have taken a couple different cars to Menke's over the years, this time was a little different. I took my car into the shop for a check engine light that I was almost certain was something electrical as the codes that I was receiving were electrical codes. Scheduling the appointment goes fine and the day of the appointment arrives; I go in I tell them what I told them over the phone and give them a little more detail that I had forgot to mention. I tell them that the codes I was getting pointed to electrical and I wanted to figure out what specifically was going wrong. They tell me they'll take care of it and that the initial diag will cost $160; I have no problem with this charge, people gotta get paid for the work they do and sometimes that work is a pain in the rear. After a while one of the mechanics comes out to let me know that my car has very little engine oil and that he needed to fill it up to continue the diag and that this will add another $100...Ok sure go ahead; I think that after the oil change they will continue to figure out what ELECTRICALLY is wrong with the car. Nope! He comes back out says everything is fine and that they are going to do a test drive to make sure; they do the drive and say everything is back to normal and that they fixed why I came in. While checking out I ask if that was the ONLY thing they found and I was told "yep all good", dear reader I was not "All Good". I get into the car and immediately the car starts rough like it had been doing and I knew it was going to be trouble. Now let me say, A lot of the issues I was having did go away, I guess when I did my oil change, I didn't Add enough oil or something. However, about 2 days go by and my check engine light comes back on and guess what, same electrical code. Time for their redemption arc. I get a text asking how my service was and I Told them I felt like I paid $260 for an oil change that didn't actually fix any of my issues and that I was pretty ticked off about it. I get an automated response and then Chris the owner sends an actual text asking what exactly went wrong and if I would mind calling and talk about my experience. The next day I get a call from Chris, and we talk about what happened, I told him the whole story and that I just felt like I was not listened to at all. I tell him I understand if I needed the oil to continue the tests as low oil can mess a lot of things up, however I was sent away with a clean bill of health when I had an idea of what the problem was. The problem was a $173 part that I could change myself, dear reader. We talk and he tells me that he'll refund my diag cost of $160 and that he was very sorry about how my interaction was handled. I told him that I really appreciate that and that I would be back if I had any major problems I couldn't handle. All in All, I think Chris is a great guy who runs an honest business, I have never been to a mechanic that Refunded a significant portion of the visit because of an issue and that means a lot. If you have any problems with your car, take it to Menkes and they will take care of you.
I have been 2 or 3 times to have a service or question answered. The employees are all very helpful and considerate! The building is very neat and clean. I enjoy having them maintaining my vehicle! I would recommend this business to anyone wanting quality work and service from the employes working there!
